Our Health Centre provides our Summer School with a 24/7 on-call nurse to ensure our students always have access to professional medical advice.

A wonderful outside space that hosts many sporting activities and lessons throughout Summer School, right on the doorstep of Taunton School International’s classroom and boarding facilities.

Our state-of-the-art facilities mean that your child has the best chance of success in and outside the classroom on our Juniors Summer School. Classrooms are all fitted with an interactive whiteboard and Apple TV.

Weirfield is a boarding house for our female senior students and offers, spacious and well furnished bedrooms. Bedrooms are largely singles or twins with some triple rooms and students share bathroom facilities. The common room is equipped with multiple sofas and seating areas, as well as a kitchen for evening snacks and warm drinks.

Our large sports halls offer space for indoor cricket practice, squash courts, a climbing wall, fitness suite and dance studios, plus plenty of space for many other sports and games.

The recently renovated Thone boarding house includes spacious dormitories contain three to six beds, relaxing lounges and communal recreational areas (including a large cinema screen).

Our LTA approved Tennis courts provide space for 4 full size tennis courts and are enjoyed by all on both the Tennis Academy and within afternoon and evening activities.

Hosting our Senior Summer School Students, TSI offers its own teaching block and boarding houses, and are located within large and attractive gardens, with lots of outdoor space for relaxation and recreational activities. The teaching block is modern and airy, with Wi-Fi available throughout, and each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard. There are also two ICT suites, two science labs, a large multi-functional hall and a substantial student common room, with large-screen TV, pool table, kitchen and a seating/dining area.

The Durrant is a high-tech Astro Pitch, one of our many sports facilities that is versatile for all weather types and can cater for many different sports and activities.

The SAT Teaching block contains our state of the art science labs, cookery and food technology room, specialist art studios and a touch-screen IT suite.

The Parade Ground is our transport base where Summer School student will arrive and depart on their transfers and is where our in house mini-buses and coaches are based.

Taunton School contains two indoor swimming pools, with the Keeling pool being based on the Senior School Site. It is a modern, indoor and heated 25m swimming pool used throughout Summer School.

In 1907, William Henry Wills, 1st Baron Winterstoke, sponsored the construction of the Chapel, which to this day plays a key role in the School’s community. It is a beautiful facility which hosts our Summer School Awards Ceremony at the end of each course.

The Centenary Hall is a versatile space, perfect for our Junior Summer School for Talent shows, discos and indoor fun and games. It contains a large presentation screen and projector and a PA system.

The Theatre and auditorium are a brand-new state of the art versatile theatre with retractable tiered seating for 220 people. It has the latest sound and lighting equipment which our Performing Arts Students make full use of, and it a lovely space used for Summer School afternoon and evening activities.

Our new Dining Room, completed in 2022, provides a range of delicious and nutritious meals for over 750 pupils each day. There is a choice of hot meals and desserts each day, as well as a salad bar. Our dedicated catering team provide for pupils with specific dietary needs as well as packed meals for trips and activities off-site.
